If you want longer, stronger nails, gel extensions in Izmir are what you are looking for. In Turkish this service is called protez tırnak, so you may see that term locally. Fleura Nails is a mobile service, not a walk-in salon: we bring everything to you. All we need is a table-height surface, two chairs and a power socket nearby.
Shapes and Options
- Shapes: almond, square, coffin (ballerina) and stiletto.
- Length: from a natural, office-friendly extension to a bold statement set.
- Finish: glossy or matte, plain colour, french, ombre or cat-eye.
- Refills: every 2–3 weeks to maintain shape and strength.
- Repair: single broken nail rebuilt without redoing the whole set.
Gel, Acrylic or Polygel?
Gel gives a naturally flexible, glossy result and is the most requested option for everyday wear. Acrylic is harder and more rigid, which suits very long or dramatic sets. Polygel sits between the two: lighter than acrylic but sturdier than soft gel. We decide together based on your nail plate and how you use your hands.
Which One Do You Actually Need?
Extensions are not always the right answer. If you only want colour that lasts, choose gel polish. If your nails are thin and break easily but you do not want extra length, a gel strengthening layer is the better option. Extensions make sense when you want length and a defined shape. Send a photo of your nails and we will tell you which fits.
Aftercare
- Wear gloves for cleaning and washing up.
- Use cuticle oil regularly — it visibly extends the life of the set.
- Never force a lifting nail off; book a repair or removal.
- Come back within the 2–3 week window rather than waiting for a break.
How the Appointment Works at Your Address
We arrive with the lamp, e-file, sterile tools and all supplies. All you provide is a table-height surface, two chairs and a power socket nearby. We set up on our own protective covering and pack everything away at the end. Metal tools are sterilised in an autoclave after every client, files and buffers are single-use, and the work area we set up is disinfected before each appointment.
We cover Izmir, including Karşıyaka, Bornova, Alsancak, Balçova, Narlıdere, Buca and Çiğli. Travel is included in the listed price for central districts; for Çeşme, Alaçatı and Urla a travel supplement may apply and we confirm it before booking.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between gel extensions and gel polish?
Gel extensions add length: a form or tip is applied and built up with gel, so you get longer nails in the shape you choose. Gel polish is colour applied to your natural nails with no added length. If you only want long-lasting colour, gel polish is enough.
How long do gel extensions last?
The set itself lasts until you decide to remove it. Because your natural nail grows, a refill every 2–3 weeks keeps the shape and strength looking right. A refill is quicker and more economical than a brand-new set.
How long does the appointment take?
A new set takes roughly 2–2.5 hours; a refill is shorter. Detailed nail art adds time. Since we come to you, you spend that time at home rather than in a salon.
Will extensions damage my natural nails?
Applied at a balanced thickness and removed properly, they do not damage the natural nail. Most damage comes from picking or forcing a set off, so please never peel them off yourself — book a removal instead.
Do you do infills on a set applied somewhere else?
Usually yes, but send a photo first. If the existing product is very thick or lifting, removal may be the better starting point. Removal of another technician's set is priced separately — see the price list.
Book Gel Extensions
Send your district, preferred day and a photo of your current nails. We will confirm the duration and price in English.
